Less is More: Simplicity, Sustainability, & the Pursuit of Happiness

A new vision of less is emerging: less stuff, less work, less stress, less frantic rushing. A life with Less becomes a life of More: more friends, more fun, more balance, more security, more time to feel and think deeply, more time for connection to people and the planet. Less is More is necessary today for a healthy planet, a caring society, and lasting happiness. Cecile Andrews, is the author of the new book Less is More, a compilation of essays by Simplicity authors Duane Elgin, Bill McKibben, David Korten, Ernest Callenbach, Juliet Schor, etc. She is also the author of Slow is Beautiful as well as Circle of Simplicity, all books exploring the Voluntary Simplicity movement. She works with the Take Back Your Time Project and is a founder of Phinney EcoVillage, a neighborhood project for sustainability and community. She is also active in the Transition movement in Seattle. She has her doctorate in Education from Stanford.
