June 30th-July 6th, 2010 at www.hummingbirdlivingschool.org

Live • Play • Learn

Do you want deeper and more heartfelt connections with friends and family?
Are you a young adult, or someone wanting to support youth empowerment?
Do you like to spend time in nature?

Come experience the first ever youth envisioned, youth initiated "Youth Empowered Training in Nonviolent Communication!"

Join Center for Nonviolent Communication Certified Trainers Jack Lehman & Karl Steyaert in partnership with Clayton Barker and others to explore 7 days of intensive Nonviolent Communication training in the Pecos Wilderness Area and Hummingbird Intentional Community. Together, we will co-create a playful, multi-generational learning community living in the consciousness of NVC in a high, pristine Rocky Mountain setting.

Over the 7 days we will explore a wide range of experiences, including:

• Empathy and Self-Empathy: Opening our hearts more fully to ourselves & others
• Transforming Anger, Pain, Guilt, & Shame into Aliveness
• Freestyle NVC: Expressing compassion using natural language
• Compassionate Leadership: Guiding groups while sharing power
• Co-Creating a Peaceful, Just & Sustainable World
• Restorative Circles: Building a compassionate justice system
• Games, Play & Movement
• Nature & Wilderness Adventure

We offer this training as a gift, with no set fee or suggested sliding scale donation. We do this both to make this event accessible to all, and because we love to give this kind of gift to the world.

At the same time, we joyfully welcome financial support so that we can continue to offer our gifts and contribute to a peaceful, just, and sustainable world. At the training we will describe the resources that have gone into the event, and at the end of the training we will invite participants to offer whatever support they are inspired to.
