Looking to create a base of operations for the Seattle Spore

This may be an odd topic, but I feel that it is time for people of like minds to start living together and doing something to help others through these chaotic times. Let me know what you think.

I posted this on Craiglist as I am looking to find a large house with a big meeting space and kitchen where we can host events like the Seattle Spore. If you or someone you know may be interested get them in touch with me.

Enlightened Roommates wanted

Group co-housing opportunity for and with the right people. Are you interested in self-evolution, raising consciousness, awakening, enlightenment or achieving your full transdimensional human potential? Making progress on your own can beslow and difficult. In a mutually supportive group we will all blossom and move rapidly forward along our own unique paths while appreciating the shared journey. None of us are alone, but something is missing from our relationships and our lives. We may catch glimpses of the peace and happiness that could be ours, yet do we know how to create and sustain it? Let's make it work together. I need you and you need me and we need them and they need us.

Living in a group is more sustainable than living alone and offers many benefits;

  • Learn and share skills - applying
your strengths while knowing others will be there to cover your
    weaknesses.

  • There is always someone to depend
on to do what you are unable to do – Need to be home for a
delivery or to pick something up before the store closes. On how
many occasions have you wished there was someone to call to be there
    for or with you?

  • Your problems are not yours alone
to solve – it is time to stop holding it in, being afraid to
let anyone know who you are, it is time to be your true authentic
self and to be accepted completely.

Group activities

Being part of a group has
responsibilities such as a portion of the chores, a share of the
expenses, coming-up with ideas and being an active participant. There
will be group activities, such as gardening, meditation, exercise and
drum circles. We will make a meeting space available and join with
others. We will find ways to build and be involved in a community.
Vegan and other lifestyle choices will be promoted. We will document
what we learn and help others build their own groups and together our
success will soar.

What is it about

While discussing topics in ecology,
sustainability, and metaphysics with others in the Seattle area
common threads arose. We all agree that change is coming, the cause
and the extent are debatable, but most people know about it or can
feel it approaching. The problem is that these same people do not
know what to do about it and tend to keep their heads buried rather
than to stand-up and act. The issues have moved beyond what
individuals can handle and it is time for us to band together to
overcome and leap forward during these chaotic times. Our own
survival is not enough and we all want to reach out and help as many
as possible to make this shift smoothly. There is work to be done in
the Pacific Northwest and it is time for us to join hands and begin.

Setting expectations

A minimum of $600 a month for rent to
start while exploring ways to reduce expenses and outside
dependencies. We will review ways for the group to earn income and
ways to defray costs while living a more joyful and healthy life. We
will simplify and use our skills rather than spoon feed ourselves.
Raw ingredients over finished products, shared labor over
convenience. We will use the strategies of Permaculture and other
systems to reduce, reuse and excel. We will experiment and play, have
fun and spread joy.

No smoking or pets for now to make it easier.
