How was your holiday?
January we had a meeting on the "Give it up" theme - Luke talked about his experience of Burning Man, we talked about Gift Economies in general as an idea, we showed the "Burn on the Bayou" video about the Burning Man crew who travelled to the devastated towns on the Bayou after Katrina to help out with demolition and rebuilding.
Was cool!
January's theme is "Love" and we're hoping to hold another meeting. Most of the people who came to the last one volunteered to help out at the next one.
We talked about where to coordinate the Spore and people generally were a bit disenchanted with Evolver as a space to collaborate, so they asked me to re-create the Google group. Anyone who wants to help out with organising is welcome to join in.
