My Evolvers,

Yesterday at the Lightworkers’ meet and greet in High Park was magical. Although I was only there for a little over an hour, it was without a doubt… extraordinary.

Not knowing what to expect, I rode into the park and towards where we were told to meet. I saw an enthusiastic group of about 18 (from very young to older) playing Keep Up with what kinda looked like a hacky sack and except with their hands. Although they just met, they seemed like a tight diverse family. I approached three women first (the smallest group), introduced myself, ‘hugged it out’ and shared a very short conversation. Next, I walked over to the next largest group; about 5 sat around talking as I kindly interrupted to introduce myself.

Within a couple minutes, I was spotted by a tall friendly-looking gentleman and he immediately walked up to me. His name was Sean, he was one of the coordinators, and I can tell he was proud of what he was a part of (exactly as I am of Evolver). We exchanged organization backgrounds and spoke briefly about our common need for social change when over his shoulder I see a bright eyed woman with an unbreakable aura walk towards us. Her name was Natalia (she was the other organizer), we introduced ourselves and talked for a bit before she invited us (the on-lookers) to join in a meditation.

We got off our seats and met the rest of the group. The exchange of names, hugs and handshakes occurred intuitively as everyone found a place in the circle. We joined hands and as Natalia lead, I could feel the positive energy build, as did a bond between once strangers. Conversations between neighbors quickly started after the meditation ended then everyone unscriptedly made effort to meet everyone else they didn’t know. If only life really worked like that.

Shortly after, one of the attendees, visiting from Japan (2 weeks) and travelling through the States, gathered everyone for another meditation. This guy was off the hook. We reassembled ourselves in a circle as he lead with his didgeridoo; although I’m still new in developing a deeper understanding my spirituality, I have never felt so close to nature before. I enjoyed every second and didn’t want it to end however, the timing was great because I had to leave for work.I made my round of hugs and gave my goodbyes; I left high, oblivious of my surroundings yet conscious of my present state. Absolutely mind blowing!

The rest was history, but tomorrow wasn’t a mystery, I have a lot to catch up on today :)

Bless’d, Jack
