Lots of great thinking going on in those beautiful heads of yours and thought it might be nice to have a place were we can share links to things we've read, watched, written, enjoyed/found helpful and would like to turn the rest of us on to.
Let the mind expansion begin!

BOOK: Left in the Dark (about nutrition and the 'fall of man')
Left in the Dark – 'The Biological Origins of the Fall From Grace'
http://leftinthedark.org.uk/book/
I haven't read the book but the website explains the basic premise very well. Authors Graham Gynn and Tony Wright discuss the idea that society's sickness stems from a fundamental lack of proper nutrition globally. That ever since our migration from rain forest environments our diets have become deficient in the basic chemistry vital for proper brain function.
Essentially, what they are saying is that the vast majority of the human population never experiences proper brain function and that our inability to recognize this is itself a symptom of our cognitive deficit.
A tough concept to digest but I did feel like it was a reasonable explanation for what to me often appears like a species wide inability to 'do the right thing'. The more I thought about the idea that our illness on a global scale could be the result of malnutrition at the individual level the more this made sense to me. 'Wealthy' industrialized nations suffer from an overabundance of unhealthy foods while the rest of the world suffers from a lack of any food and we all suffer under a broken system based on flawed thinking.
-deep breath- OMMMMMM...
Okay, so they don't offer many solutions to this problem in the course of their website but I can't help but think that raw, living foods rich in flaveniods would be at least a good first step. One of the things I most often hear from raw-foodists and fasters is 'how much more clearly I can think!'. Hmmm...
Great forward by Dennis McKenna here too! Check it out.
Peace all!

Great idea
The Links Library! I love it. Clicking the above right now... I can't think of a link to share... but here is something that was just sent to me a few days ago by member Jai Jaguar.

Shoutingfire.com, participant driven online radio that is eclectic and fun!
Simply Raw – Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days
Here's the link to that raw food doc. It follows 10 diabetic Americans as they eat their way to health with raw food. It has its share of made-for-TV moments but I did find it fascinating. Many not only reverse their diabetes but experience a shift in consciousness as well. Worth a watch on a rainy day and definitely send to anyone you know with diabetes:
Awesome documentary resources
These sites both have hundreds of documentaries you can watch entirely online. Loved these this past winter:
http://www.sprword.com – Spread the Word, left-leaning docs
http://documentaryheaven.com - Documentary Heaven
Ted.com – World's 'smartest' people tell you what they think
So many great talks on this site!
TED is a meeting of minds that now happens several time a year. Guest lectures often include leading scientists, authors, politicians, political activists, designers, architects, technology leaders, artists... All the talks are made available to watch on the site. I honestly fell like I've received the equivalent of a university education just from watching this site over the past couple years.
Arthur Magazine
Hey thanks for starting this, PoP! Great idea!
My first contribution will be the site upon which I first encountered Daniel's writing. This used to be a free "zine" style magazine that you could pick up in cool coffee shops, comic or record stores, etc... But much like our beloved Evolver, it fell on hard times financially and could no longer continue to print.
So they have switched, like so many others, to the web format. The site is spectacular and featueres articles on counterculture subjects both new and old. With regular interviews with some really facinating artists and musicans, to tutorials on home gardening, etc...
Best of all, they REALLY have their ear to the current underground music scene and produce a weekly radio show, which you can find and download totally free or stream, in the MP3 section.
I cant praise this mag, enough. So check it out. I love playng the radio voyages while I clean my house. haha!

6 ways mushrooms can save the world: Paul Stamets on TED.com

This is the presentation that first got me onto TED. And was very influential in my obsession with fungi. It also led me to Paul Stamet's book Mycelium Running: How Mushrooms Can Help Save the World!
Graham Hancock - Shamanism, Aliens? & Ayahuasca.
'Coast to Coast' radio... I always click on these 'talk shows' to have great discussions playing in the background when I'm working on the computer.
