Expanding the Global Network through Permaculture Principles,Thurs.Dec.17

The Vancouver Permaculture Meet Up group has an event the night after ours.Some of their members have attended our spores. Passing this info on for those interested in Permaculture........

Permaculture has inspired so many to do so much with so little for so long that we are practically qualified to do anything with nothing!
(To loosely quote Mother Theresa)

Aaron Elton will be doing a presentation on Our Mother Earth Villages, a project devoted to developing
Eco-Villages that will house, feed and educate orphans through sustainable living in Uganda. Funded by Global Peace Hut (www.globalpeacehut.org), the project will be hosting a Permaculture Design Course in conjunction with the Pacific Permaculture in the summer of 2010, open to international students who in turn subsidize a local's PDC.

This meet-up we will expand on our theme of 'a sustainable Vancouver' to 'a sustainable Global Network'. After Aaron's presentation we will review the project suggestions from the last meet-up, and have an open space for questions, comments and whatever else arises.

Because it is so close to the holidays we will not focus to heavily on moving forward with the projects.
