The War on Consciousness

The War on Drugs is an external attempt by those in power to maintain control of people to further their own ends. It is part of a belief system where any focus on inner freedom is denied and belittled. It also is part of a continuing attempt to maintain the economy of the debt society in which a few get richer at the expense of the rest of humanity. Psychedelic drugs have been used in animistic cultures for thousands of years with life-sustaining effects. It is ironic that in a nation of drug users, legal and illegal, there are any drug laws at all. The fact that there are these laws and that they are applied in an inconsistent and unfair way only speaks to me of the turning point in human consciousness that is on the horizon. In fact, altered states of consciousness may be the cornerstone of the imaginal reality we want to create in the future. That will not be suppressed as it is part of the evolutionary path of humanity.
