"We do what We must"

This happened about 4 months ago, and i haven't told any body about this "dream".

One day i close my eyes, and the next thing i know i'm in another world, i wake up in a large room, Roman style i guess, and there was a window looking out too a big lake, and it was Autumn.
When i step outside of this room, i walk into a family, they where my family, but i had know clue who they where, in fact, everything in this world was radically different from this world, so my father, mother and siblings where different, and even my age, i was 25, i'm 21 in this world.the only thing that was the same was that my name was still Rowan, and i was born on the same day as in the "real world".
Once in this world, i had all the memories of this world, i new this world as i had know the "real world".in this place, your job was dictated by your zodiac sign and you also where only heard by the god that represented that sign.Mine was Mars, just like the Greco-Roman god.this world had Grown without Christianity and the greco-roman religion had evolved to this very sophisticated state of theology.
Basically, i wanted to be a farmer, but since my god was mars i was a soldier, at this point i was a colonel in that world, in real life i was a Specialist in the us army.
I lived with this fact for a long time, but one day i went to the farm area of my families land holdings, and i seen a bunch of farmers looking real happy doing there job, so i got close to them and ask if they needed help, and they where happy to let me help them, and it got to a point where the oldest of the farmers welcomed me into a place where they would sit and meditate on there goddess Ceres. and the elder grabbed me by the face and said "this is what it mean too love Ceres" and i had a Psychedelic experience where i seen an avocado turn from a simple seed all the way till it was digested and served as plant food. and then i seen the goddess, and she told me " you want to serve me, but you where born where you where born, Mars is your Father. this is the way of things, we do what we must!...even the gods". and i awoke in my bed in the Roman style house.
After that event in my life in that world, i started to go down hill. I was drinking, i was doing bad at my job.Once i had been a good officer, but now i let my men run wild. and then at an event for officers i met a woman, but she was with a peer of mine. latter i find out they where married, but i tried to pursue it, and eventually we got together.
one day, i was walking down a street with her, and a couple of body guards, when i see that something aint right. i seen some one hidden behind a wall looking at me and the crew, so i sent a guard of mine, and i comes back with a bad report, it was a spy from her husbands battalion, i had been caught.i was ganna die automatically for the crime of adultery so i decided to rebel, but i men where in such a bad state as soldiers that we quickly got crushed.
After all my men had been killed before me, the womans husband comes to the temple where me and her where bound awaiting him too finish the execution, and i was crying, not for my self, but for the woman, and all my men, dieing because of my stupidity, but also, i was happy too see this colonel ready to take my life, and rid me of this dishonor.
and He recited this; "In the name of of the gods, i execute you for the heavy crime of betrayal, betrayal too your god, betrayal too your tribe and betrayal too a true Man, for this i will take your life now", and he swung his ax and kill his woman, and then he looks at me, and the last thing i seen was a Gladius too the face.
the moral of the story?
sometimes there are things that can't be changed, and in reality, who are we to try to change divine things?
too tell you the truth though i swear all of this happened for real, in another world, it was too real.
