OUR FORMAT

Here we welcome comments, suggestions, ideas, proposals, about our group format, guidelines, experiences, feedback. You name it.
Initially the meetings will begin with Meet N Greet time before the sessionwork. Discussions will provide opportunity for us to explain the history of the group, the model we use, how things are structured. (flexible structure, structured flexibility) Members have this time to voice what they seek from the group, their feedback about the original format proposed, and our direction as a collaborative entity will evolve from there.
The healing circle will begin after sufficient discussion sets our course. Ultimately we may branch out to form different venues, where one night a week might be a discussion group, and another night the weekly healers circle, while other events will sprout organically from the body of ideas a group like this is bound to bring to the table.
MEETUP TIME: Arrival time begins with Meet N Greet, (get the chat out of the way, lsay our hellos, await late arrivals, etc.)
ORGANISERS NOTES: Group announcements, topic suggestions, etc.
SHORT CHECK-IN: Round-Table where each person takes a minute just to let us know how they're feeling since our last meeting.
This is a fine way to uncover anyone is in distress, facing crisis, in need of particular attention, etc.
THE SILENCE: This is usually just that, a circle of silence to focus the group mind, put our daily cares behind us.
Someone may do a guided meditation, a short affirmation, etc. (who plays a flute? drum?)
SESSION WORK: Depending on the number attending, we'd like to do as much table-work as possible without cutting sessions too short.
Members are available thru the week to do full sessions if anyone in interested in that. The key here is to follow our
intuition and let the energy of the setting guide us.
PROCESS: Between sessions we can take a break for a SHORT process time. Sometimes deeper issues surface that a member
may want to discuss in privacy, away from the whole group, while the rest of the group gets on to the next session.
For this we hope to have the second room cleared out/ available soon.
SNACKS: Snacks rock. The layout of the kitchen suggests we should have ONE or maybe two people preparing whatever food
members may bring. Drop your stuff in the kitchen and leave it to the Elves.
(there is too little space for a lot of IN and OUT traffic)
At the same time we want to encourage sharing food afterward as part of the sharing process.
EVOLVER-MIND: This layout is an initial model that works well, provides the greatest structure, while maintaining the greatest flexibility to
accommodate the organic/changing needs of the group members, and of course, evolves with the group dynamic.
Thank You for posting your ideas here. Feedback is essential.
More details to follow as time comes.

Hi ZEET!
Yes, we hope to call a meeting soon.
For now it will be a weekly meeting.
As things take off, splinter meetings. Other nights, Other venues.
Initially we'd like to simply begin a healers circle and get some practitioners together for regular weekly access to whatever modalities show up in the membership. From there, individuals will want to offer other ideas, other venues, other events. I belong to a group already using this model and it's excellent, it allows the group to expand and contract at will, without leadership being overtaxxed to plan it all FOR them. Excellent experience.)

Hello Taoe
I can't tell you how excited I am about this site. I joined a few days ago and already I am so happy to find some "others". Not just "others", but local "others" nonetheless. My wife is a Reiki master practioner and I am currently a lv. 2, we are very respectful and honorable people and would love to be welcome to your group meeting. We've been trying for 2 years now, going to crystal bowl healings, sweat-lodges, etc, all this has ended in some disappointment in that the people who go have no interest in talking, or really getting to know you. This sounds all too wonderful and I hope to hear from you soon.
In Lak'ech
