So the other day I found a cigar box, at first I wasn't sure what to do with it, then it hit me... I gathered up a few of my Magickal tools and made my own Magick "Travel Kit". Inside I included:
1 set of Tarot Cards (Thoth Deck)
Chalk (for protective circles/sigils)
A small stone pendulum
Sage
String (for binding spells)
A few Talisman
Lighter
Pens/small sheets of paper
Blank labels/stickers (for drawing sigils on and sticking up where needed)
A bus pass with my own sigil drawn on it. (I use it when I'm on a "drift" or meditative walk, as a "pass" to walk between worlds.)
And one page out of my Golden Dawn book with the Enochian Alphabet on it (Sometimes I like to write out my spells in Enochian.... gives them some flair, and helps to create a "slight of mind" by disguising the original intent therefore helping me to "forget about it"...
Anyway, obviously you can put what you want into it, and will find yourself more prepared when you're out and about and may need to do some quick Magick!

interesting

I have tried to consolidate objects into little portable "altars".

Thanks for some good ideas

synchronicity

I just joined Evolver and this is the first post I read. Literally 20 minutes before signing up for Evolver I created a very similar portable magick kit (although I used a small bag instead of a cigar box.)

Nice ideas

I like the blank stickers to put up and the "pass" between worlds. When traveling, I wouldn't go out without my mp3 player with various binaural beats/i-doser/hemi-sync/sound healing audio, an audiovisual synthesizer with glasses with flashing LEDs (for a quick altered state) and also a pad of paper with markers for sigils. Sage as well. I like the chalk idea.

I'm pretty new, but I've been reading a bit - Phil Hine's Condensed Chaos, Patrick Dunn's Postmodern Magic, and Jan Fries' Visual Magick: Manual for Freestyle Shamanism. Any suggestions?
