With the spring harvest nearly upon us (at least here in Twin Cities) morels will be popping up very soon. This group is for the morel veteran, connoisseur, novice, or curious adventurer. I think most people that hunt morels (and yes it is hunting, they are sneaky) would agree that one of the best parts of hunting morels is just getting out into the local forests and spending time looking for some of natures delicious gifts.
For those of you that are wondering what the big deal is about morels, these are not the same as psilocybin (hallucinogenic) mushrooms, but they may make you trip out over how delicious they taste.
For a great website that has almost all the information you would want to know about morels check out http://thegreatmorel.com
Use the board below to post questions, pictures, stories of the hunt, and reasons why you find the morel fascinating.
Peace be the journey and best of luck hunting.
