Seeking to empower and inspire youth of Mexico to create change within their communities through photography.
Project Luz was founded by Jasmin Lopez in January of 2007. The first Project Luz workshop took place in her hometown of Ejido Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, and has grown to include Nezahualcoyotl, Mexico.
the Project Luz photojournalism workshop in Ciudad Nezahaulcoytl, the third held since 2008. Project Luz brings donated digital cameras and experienced photogs to Neza, to get youth from the area to explore their interest in photojournalism.
