Who is it that sees us?
It's the 50 foot Jesus.
Hovering above us
he's coming to please us.
Delivering speeches
curing diseases
leaving us speechless
whenever he frees us.
From the cruel realities
and all the subtle causalities.
From the day to day
life that we call battling.
Leaving our brains sizzling
at the end of his tongue
while our body's baking under the sun.
Frying as we're trying
to break free from the heat.
When he finally eats us
it tastes like defeat.
Nobody saves us
because nobody see us.
We're in the shadow of the 50 foot Jesus

Your poetry is always a refreshing blast of love and truth to my consciousness, divine and fruitful.
Because I know you seek love in your heart. We are in the shadow of the 50 foot jesus, it is so true.
But we must all seek to manifest a different reality .

Keep on making those dope ass rhymes,

Thanks for the feedback

As always i appreciate the love. Just making my personal social commentaries one rhyme at a time.

"My country is the world, and my religion is to do good."
- Thomas Paine

This reminds me

of being high on strange LSD at Earthdance, wandering around barefoot in the California sun, looking for something to help me break my funk, frying and baking in social misanthropy, feeling vaguely electrified and dissatisfied, I bounced from one tepid social interaction to another wondering how to manifest shining bliss from my heat clogged brain.
I did have a bright moment being in some misty water with my friends, rainbows flying around everywhere, and listening to children giggling and running down a hill.
It can be hard to express myself with 50 foot jesus flailing around in my head?
