"Another Word (Earth Prayer)
"
Another word, I will fall.
Another word, I will be incomplete.
We seek the words of others, to carry us through the day.

I seek the word of my brothers, to make my life okay.

I long for the words of my children, to tell me that I am alright.

I beg for the thoughts of the others, to tell if I may or I might.
If this is the course of our nature

Let us bend, let us break, let us curse.

For these are the thoughts I assure you

Make you great, make you whole, make you pure.
There was a silence I once heard among us,

And now the silence is gone.

It was then replaced by the explosion of sound

From your lips came the words of a song.
Your eyes tell the end of the story

Let us no longer bend, break or curse.

Now, Rejoice! in the loss of our sorrows

And let us all become one with the Earth.
ah-men.
"I Wonder What Difference It Would Make"
One shot fired through the empty room,

My spirit stays asleep.

My mouth begs for your open thoughts of doom

To trickle down the slippery slope.

Your "mind" tells you how,

"You" follow.

I wonder what difference it would make

In another life, if I was rich,

If I was strong,

If I thought like you, where would we be?

In the same empty room

With "priceless" things scattered abroad

Oh, I beg you to explain

That Life to me.

I wonder what difference it would make

In this world, this life,

If I was weak, If I was poor,

If I was strong, yet weak, and still poor.

Would it matter much at all to you, my dear friend

If I was short, if I was tall,

If I was even "me" at all.
