It can be source for creative invent
Regardless, it’s never cause for ill intent

The State’s ruling by legislative edict
Hears growing peoples cries for them to just `eat it’
Sooner or later they’ll have to recognize
Possession and use of pot is going to be legalized

Prisons are filled for this paltry crime
Less than a gram gets serious time
Billions of tax dollars are wastefully spent
On failed laws that keep criminalized hemp

Just walk any street with nose in the air
The essence of pot smoked is everywhere
Whom is it government is trying to fool?
When most of the judiciary `toke’ while in law school

The massively failed attempt at alcohol prohibition
Should have taught them an expensive social lesson
When masses of people demand to get high
Whether booze or pot – government – are best to abide
