Life, branching out and
Drooping all around itself,
Enfolds the empty spaces
Surrounding it, leaving a
Warmth: green, vibrant,
Silent; under its shadow
Huddle these fleeting feelings,
Trappings, ideas otherworldly.

At the time I wrote it, I was thinking of the trappings of modern human society, all the distractions that take hold of people. But now I see that it could also be a reference to Nature, her myriad forms and colors. Thanks, you made me see my own poetry in a different way! I love the variety of interpretations.
