"My Dear Child"

I often ponder what is to become of you
I watch in bewilderment as you grow in these shoes

Will they take you and break you and spit you out like substandard meat
when you are left tattered and battered and walk on bare feet

Will they go back on promises that they don't intend to keep
that leave you disconnected and discombobulated from the remainder of the sheep

Can you hear me?

I know you are listening but can you really hear me?

Have they modified your soul
in this deep dark cavernous hole

With their greed and lies and lullaby's
With their television sets and corporate jets

Have you already left me?

I hope you use all 10 fingers and all 10 toes
to take you far off to the places nobody knows

Please use your 3rd sight and project the light
to give you the calm serenity of the darkest night

When you are next to the spider that sat down beside her, will you love it as I love you
Will you see it's reflection in me or perhaps catch a glimpse of mommy in the bumblebee

My dear child, will you lose all your fire
before the wick of your soul transcends higher

Permeating your membranes to the point bordering insane
with disinformation and mismanaged education all for their own personal gain

Will you see the priest that taught the lamb to believe in the promised land
taking your money and power by the hour all while holding out a distracting hand

Will you recognize how they mesmerize and propagandize with heavenly masturbation the raping of your earthly self
and will you have a good look and take that good book and place it gently back upon the shelf

Whatever the case, I plead my case for the birds and the bees and the infinite trees
hoping you see the you in we and taste from the bountiful universal degrees

My dear child, you are an amazing being
that words could never express with proper meaning
exactly what you mean to me
So go and be with the we's and swing from the eternal vine across all space and time and be truly free
