Psychedelic Society

Within the past decade, there has been a wonderful renaissance in psychedelic research and a renewed interest in the media and general public.  The subject matter is opening up to bright & brazen new minds interested in the medical, psychological and spiritual benefits of sacred plants and chemical compounds.  The thrust of this new movement has paralleled the advent of the internet and a highly networked society.  This is not merely a coincidence. Both originate from an innate human desire for unfettered access to information, connection to the collective consciousness, liberation of the mind-body and a manifestation of the interconnectedness of all things.  Indeed, the internet is a psychedelic experience.  Â
We set out to establish this society, in part, because we see an immense opportunity to aide in a renewed understanding of psychedelics. Primarily through the development of communication & rebranding strategies for psychedelics, in order to have them socially reconsidered and legalized.  Historically this has not been it's greatest strength. Communication and media around psychedelics are often an afterthought, or not seriously considered. Often, it results in a pastiche of worn-out cliches left over from the 60's, which limit its communicative reach. There exists a need for a highly articulated media & outreach campaign, to revitalize and engage & embrace new audiences – the scientific community, cultural creatives, spiritual seekers and beyond.
"What I think a psychedelic society, what that notion means or implies to me in terms of ideology, is the idea of creating a society which always lives in the light of the mystery of being. " - Terrence McKenna
