Traveling at near the speed of light

When we "jack into" the net we essentially travel near the speed of light. Great skill is required to avoid the pit falls along the way where the slightest bump in the channel can create crashes and delay progress. Of course the faster you go the larger the problem becomes. This is as electronic as it is metaphysical. Any solutions out there for these nagging problems?
