With Z Day around the corner I got a "second wind" of inspiration toward The Movement. I began thinking about why I got inspired in the first place and realized how truly revolutionary The Venus Project is. Just a few weeks ago I began listening to the weekly Radio Address on BlogTalk again. I soon realized that with how busy I had become I had missed alot of info in a relatively short amount of time. Rather than feeling some culturally driven notion of "guilt" for "not being involved" I have gained true inspiration from the fact that the knowledge of The Movement has grown so vastly. I find it amazing that within a few months of placing my attention elsewhere, a huge difference has been made - new chapters springing up everywhere, new projects in the works, new coordinators stepping forward to share the work load - truly inspirational.
I have seen clearly that The Zeitgeist Movement is not a fad of extremists dwindling off into the sea of countless activist organizations. The Venus Project truly provides answers and solutions to the many challenges today's societies are faced with.

So I ask you to ask yourself: "Why did I join The Zeitgeist Movement?".

Also, why do you feel that The Venus Project is the direction we should be aiming our society toward? What aspects appeal to you the most?

Can't wait to hear from you all. Remember, never get discouraged - get re-inspired.

good question

Hi Mike,

Actually I never really "joined" it as of yet (or did you mean this group?) - I love the Zeitgeist Movement and the Venue Project for all that it stands for and wants to achieve. But have not yet gotten fully engaged.

I only learnt of the ZM in summer 2008 with the first film - which I liked but could not do much with it at that time if this makes any sense? So the next time I stumbled over it was by actually going through my bookmarks last summer (2009) and finding the website again, and found that there was an Addendum (?) which I watched straight away...and then it got me hooked. Looked into the whole Venues Project and the ideas and thoughts behind it - guess the past summer was just the right time. Spread the word amongst my friends and more people and keep talking about the ideas that there are with regards to the VP etc - thinking about it often enough as well, and yet still, have not managed to get really involved.

BUT...and that's a big but...I plan to attend the 2010 ZM Day in Salzburg, Austria (closest venue I could find to where I am living at the moment) and really want to get cracking and involved with people. Meet some face to face and get an idea of what it really is about...you know...FEEL not only think.

With regards to your question "why do you feel that The Venus Project is the direction we should be aiming our society toward? What aspects appeal to you the most?" - I will come back to you on this one if that's ok?

Have a good day!
Claudia

So nice to meet you Claudia!

So nice to meet you Claudia! Thank you for sharing your story. I think that's great that you've talked to your friends about the Movement. Life is very busy and I know that it's difficult to find time to get active.
If you ever have any questions about about Chapter involvement, you can write Gilbert. He is the International Chapter coordinator. I believe that he hosts weekly meetings online via Skype or Ventrillo (I'm not positive which one). Also nice to hear that you found a Z Day event near you.

KTC: So I ask you to ask yourself: "Why did I join The Zeitgeist Movement?"

well, naturally it's because i feel that the venus project is the direction we should be aiming our society toward.

KTC: Also, why do you feel that The Venus Project is the direction we should be aiming our society toward? What aspects appeal to you the most?

agh! it's like you can read my mind! but seriously, tvp is advocating our resources be used rationally and that people cooperate. that makes a lot of sense to me.

peace,
chet

Makes Sense ...with room to grow.

I support TZM/TVP because what they represent strikes me as an important piece of the path toward a unified global culture; in my opinion, a natural and obvious 'next step' for our species. That is also why I am here on Evolver.
