This guy goes above and beyond what few have done, or would ever contemplate doing. The British man, ‘Mr. A’ is reported to have taken 40,000 ecstasy pills over a nine-year period. The previously heaviest lifetime intake was 2,000.

Mr A is an
A-hole.
That is all.

for a while i was under the spell of MDMA...i probably ended up doing a little less than 200 pills total in a 2 year period...thats MORE than enough for ANYONE i cannot imagine what mental fragmentation these people suffer

Mr. A is not an "A-hole" (however congratulations on virtually masturbating).
Firstly, how much people can take is completely dependant on a wide range of factors, such as body fat, weight, hydration, residual drugs( of any kind) and the almost innumerable hormonal balances within yourself. (there are obviously more variables but are too numerable to mention here). I personally know people who can take 7 pills or 1.5gs of MDMA and not be affected. I also personally know 15-20 individuals who have taken easily in excess of 1,000 pils per annum for 1-7 years.
Secondly, It would be naive to ignore quality. Whereas previously pills were more pure and could cost from £30 to £70. Now an average pill cost you £5 (in my area) Thus because standardisation cannot exist in this current climate, any comparative thought must be swallowed with the pre-tense of theory is theory.
MDMA therapy
I've heard that MDMA could be helpful in a controlled therapeutic setting.....could this be going a little to far? :o)
