Massacre of the Assassins
A few weeks ago the mass-media began a big campaign to portray the
pricturesque provincial tourist town of Taxco Mexico with its .925 silver jewelry shops as the site of a supposed bloody "Narco-war". An old mine resiprator shaft where some dead bodies had been disposed of, became the source of more lurid stories.
This little documentary movie goes to show that normal life of modern rural Mexico has little to do with what the major mass-media has been presenting to the northamericans. A newspaper sound-truck passes a group of men mixing cement - observe their reactions.
