Oil Spill in Salt Lake Valley

Perhaps small in comparison, but impacting our community in Salt Lake City - this oil spill occurred a little over a month ago. While the actual cause has, apparently, not been fully confirmed - it was initially reported that a freak accident where, during a storm, an electrical arc went into the ground, striking the buried pipeline,creating a hole and causing crude oil to spill into the ground, eventually into the Red Butte Creek, flowing to the Jordan River and the Great Salt Lake - this spill has impacted our whole valley...
