Wind Roost 18 weeks ago If you ask me, this is extremely news-worthy. The earth is an embryo, which is soon birthing into a star. Humanity will become an enlightened race of Christed beings.

I don't want to be rude or
I don't want to be rude or overly nasty in stating my case here, because I can feel anger rising up in me strongly right now. So I don't mean to insult you or cut you down. That being said, I don't want to hold back and censor myself too much either.
I am so sick of seeing and reading messages like this. I watched this video. I've watched many like it. This shit is not helpful, it's not constructive, it's not okay. It creates confusion and apathy in people who might otherwise be drawn to take up important work in healing themselves, other people, and the planet around them. Trying to have a reasonable conversation with some people who are proponents of concepts like the one espoused in this video can be a pull-out-your-hair-in-frustration situation. People latch onto vague, dreamy, awesome-sounding ideas like this because they sound so damn cool, and in an effort to think outside the dominant paradigm they eat up anything that sounds too cool and crazy and far-out to be true, as if that's the only real prerequisite for an idea's validity. As long as it contains a lot of words like "light" "love" "consciousness" "vibration" "dimensional" etc, people are likely to ignore the glaring ridiculousness of the idea and eat it up and regurgitate it over and over again to each other until it becomes a real "belief." This is the worst kind of thinking, the most counterproductive, silly kind of thinking you can engage in. To be open to possibilities, sure, of course that's a good idea. I'm not even saying "Oh, this is bullshit. This is NOT true." But to act like a concept like this is for sure true doesn't do anybody any good. It doesn't help spiritual growth or maturity or understanding, and it CERTAINLY does not help problems with a major three-dimensional, physical-reality component like ecological devestation, disease, poverty, etc etc. People I know who are really into this kind of thing usually exhibit what I would call a kind of spiritual immaturity, where they never seem to be getting past the stage of fascination with the exterior shiny luster of all these different spiritual traditions and into the real heart of what's going on underneath. I feel like you could easily create a mad lib with all the appropriate buzzwords and write a script for a video like this. This might be a little simplistic, in fact, I'm sure it is, and I don't mean to generalize, but here is the real problem I see with this kind of New-Agey fantasy-land stuff: People who are open to strange, cool, spiritual (take your pick) ideas become so enamored with the thought of the approach of Nibiru or the return of the Arcturians or practicing vague "ascension" techniques or waiting for the "planet to turn into a star in 2012" that they forget about what's actually going on in the real world. They don't get organized, they don't protest, they don't change the way they live, they don't reach out to the third world, they don't study bonafide spiritual traditions, they don't properly investigate anything. They just eat up this New Age candy like it's going out of style. There is no substance to a lot of this shit, and a lot of it originates from people who have chemical imbalances and real mental "problems." I know a lot of people on here might take offense to this or see me as being judgmental or just not "getting it," and perhaps that's true. I don't know. All I know is that I've spent a lot of time doing a lot of arduous work to get to the place I am today on the path, and I don't feel like the ideas I'm talking about here are based in ego or fear or anger. They're based in genuine concern and caution. Evolver and Reality Sandwich and a million other places are full of substanceless bullshit like "The Earth will become a star in 2012." I don't think this is helping anybody. And beyond that, it bums me out because I think most people that put these ideas forward and believe in them and perpetuate them have really good intentions. Instead of investing so much energy in things like this, they could channel that energy where it would be more beneficial to them and everyone else.
I apologize for the rant, but I just had to put that out there, even if no one reads it.
I feel you a making some
I feel you a making some hefty assumptions, and of course, stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason. They are usually right on, but sometimes they aren't! Some people who are interested in these "ideas" actually "advance" spiritually very quickly because they understand the larger perspective and are able to find their center or maintain their balance much better.
I understand your concern and I'm grateful for your comment. It was very courageous to put this out there, so thank you, Ben.
You cannot simply segregate everyone who listens to people who discuss these concepts in the new-age realm. Well, you can, but that is of course, very limiting. I'm am not about to label you.
Your points about chemical imbalance and apathy were great, but you cannot hold onto the hard work you have gone through in this lifetime. You experienced it all for a reason, and you are experiencing these feeling right now for a reason. You will have to let all that go as the transition happens. I presume you already know these things though.
I'm not saying I "believe" this planet will birth into a star in the coming months, but it seems awfully plausible with the way things are going. I mean, of course, things could continue on as they are... and there will be small communities, similar to evolver, that will sustain natural circuits, maintain harmony between beings, etc. Maybe systems will crumble. Nothing is built to last anymore. But the way I see it, there is an invisible giant on the horizon that we will inevitably be confronted with in the near future, like it or not, my friend! And that is why it is so crucial now to find your center. Again, I thank you so much for this post. It would be nice to keep in communication with you. Hopefully we will hear back from you.
Take care,
Ryan
I would like to add that
I would like to add that your generalizations are understandable, but very typical. This message is ACTUALLY about reconnecting with our mother, the planet we chose to incarnate on. It is time to re-estabvlish that connection and when we do that we will remember all that we chose to forget.
When we do this, we will understand that WE, here and now, are showing the way for this process to happen on other planetary systems. Our consciousness is "returning home" and we are becoming what we have always been. It is that simple, my friend. There is no need to stress yourself out over this process. It is occurring and I would recommend just going with the flow, no matter what.

I just re-read over my
I just re-read over my comment, and I don't know that I was being entirely clear. Thank you for your response, that was very cool of you. I think the problem is that I lack the vocabulary to express myself fully. And of course all language is metaphorical, so as Kurtis Blow once said, these are the breaks. But here goes my best shot: I'm open to all kinds of "radical" ideas, "esoteric" concepts, etc, etc. If there's anything I know for sure, it's that reality is far stranger and more mysterious than any science fiction novel. I guess I'm projecting my own personal evolution onto other people pretty heavily. Where I'm at right now is by no means an indicator of where other people are or should be. But for me, personally, I've grown really disillusioned with things like "Earth is becoming a star." Finding balance, returning to your center, your source, OUR source, reconnecting with the natural world we're embedded in, major changes coming in the near future, the evolution of all life and matter into ever more complex and "pure" forms; all of these things I wholeheartedly get and support and love. But I just feel like there's a huge difference between talking about these things in a concrete, sensible manner, and perpetuating half-cocked theories like "Earth is becoming a star." Do you know what I mean? And I just noticed something else that I guess rubs me the wrong way, so to speak: The idea that some kind of transformation or evolution is coming SOON (like in our lifetime soon) whether we like it or not, whether we participate in it or not, whether we're "ready" for it or not. As much as I'd love to subscribe to this, I just don't see the evidence. And therein lies the problem for me. If all this hokey, what I referred to as "New-Agey," stuff was being perpetuated and bought into by people in a vacumn, or in a world not in crisis like ours right now, I would just regard it as interesting and cool; no harm, no foul. But when we have species extinction at a massive and accelerating rate, deforestation at a massive and accelerating rate (and on and on), I feel that ideas like that start to contribute to problems and confusion, rather than solutions. And again, I'd like to reiterate that I'm not scolding you or attacking you personally, or anyone for that matter. And I'm not trying to patronize you and "shine light on your ignorance." Lol. Far from it. I'm a human being, I'm 22 years old; if anybody has all the answers, it isn't this guy. This is just coming from a place of healthy debate and critical thinking and compassion. Among communities of people like Evolver, I think this an important line of thinking to consider. It's just really easy to get caught up in the shiny world of baseless conjecture, pseudo-science, and pseudo-mysticism, and I think that's counterproductive and, in a sense, dangerous.
I hope I added something of value to this dialouge and clarified myself a bit.
Yessir! Great response. And
Yessir! Great response. And thanks for it. I'm 22 as well, and definitely know where you're coming from. The fancy words associated with 'love & light' can really take people on a ride, even a ride that is nearly a new religion.
So I get your urgency for practical solutions. I feel it's all about balance and just because our culture has been dominated by left-brain thinking for a while doesn't mean we 'forget' that and become only right-brained (again). Same goes for evil and good. We cannot simply become solely good, because again, that's out of balance. This time it's about merging/integrating everything from each side of the scales and really becoming balanced.
Thanks again, mate.
