libramoon 41 weeks ago Traditionally, young people have energized democratic movements. So it is a major coup for the ruling elite to have created societal institutions that have subdued young Americans and broken their spirit of resistance to domination.
Young Americans—even more so than older Americans—appear to have acquiesced to the idea that the corporatocracy can completely screw them and that they are helpless to do anything about it.

Overlooked the crushing of one of the largest mass youth movements, by then Sen Joe Biden, author and instigator of the rave act provisions he buried in the the amber alert law. Which makes it illegal for even small gatherings of young people to take place anywhere in the US.

I read the entire article and I am extremely impressed. I had a feeling of ironic "smug sadness" as I agreed with almost every point, echoing the sentiment that I have expressed about schools being nothing more than normalization factories - at best.
I very seldom get the opportunity to comment on America's youth, as I have no offspring I have almost deemed their future as a lost cause - almost.
This is an excellent read. I would love the opportunity to interview the author for a future podcast.
