Lucid Dreaming and Vibrational Frequency

I had a dream last night which didn't start out the best but had a really nice ending. In the dream I was having a dispute with my girlfriend. I had been getting comfortable with another woman and she was unhappy with it and our relationship was coming to an end. Suddenly I realized I was dreaming and became lucid. Our dispute instantly stopped. We just stared at eachother and my mind began to wander. There was something that I knew I wanted to try next time I became lucid but was having difficulty remembering. Then it hit me. I wanted to raise my vibrational frequency. I didn't know if it was possible but it was something I really wanted to try. So I concentrated and just kept my thoughts on trying to raise my vibrational frequency, despite the fact that I'm not really sure if that's how it works, or how it would work if it was. I almost immediatly felt a buzzing sensation and began to hear a tone, reminding me of the solfeggio frequencies. Everything started to go black and I was alone with my thoughts. I didn't know if I was awake with my eyes closed or if I was still asleep. But I never opened my eyes and just slipped off into other not lucid dreams.
I really enjoyed the sensation I recieved when I attempted to raise my vibrational frequecy. It was exhilerating, calming, and it felt powerful. Has anyone ever had a similiar experience or know anything about a connection between lucid dreams and vibrational frequencies?

Hello!
i happen to be reading "the Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep" and it has alluded to something similar several times. Perhaps you could check it out :)

questions from a first time poster and long time dreamer.
My name is Jules and I most of my life knowing things that will happen before they do.
Sometimes I have dreams when I see things clearly like a memory but it has not happened yet. Other times I get dreams that are symbolic and when I write my dreams down I am able to figure out what events will happen next.
I can’t accept the fact that this is random and means nothing.
I also can’t accept the fact that I am ‘just a mammal’ and nothing more.
So my questions are:
What are we?
Why am I like this?
Do you ever feel like the dreams you have are more real then when you are ‘awake’?
How come when I do drugs and drink in excess it's like turning my 'powers' on like a light switch.
(This is my first post and I'm new. Any advice or insight would be awesome.)
I gave up reading books on the subject because I can't find the answers I seek.
yes..
Jules, don't lose faith in books. For stuff like this, its one of the only easily accessible resources forthese subjects.
Dreams are reality, reality is a dream.
There is a proverb/contemplative question that goes something like this:
Last night I dreamt I was a butterfly. Or am I now a butterfly who is dreaming I am a man?
The reality we all know is just a part of the full experience, and we can only know so much. Imagine our experience compared to the experience of, say, an ant. We have such an extreme advantage on what we perceive and think of, but just imagine the levels above our own consciousness we can't (or don't) tap into. There are many facets, most of which we will never know, but some which we can access with the right tools.
Drugs are easy and essentially the "beginner's" way of accessing higher states of reality, (especially psychedelics, DMT, sometimes cannabis, etc). Whatever can be accomplished with drugs can generally be reached through heavy meditation, the "pro" way (or perhaps more fitting, the amateur, for the love of it) of reaching spiritual dimentions.
Questions like what are we and why are we like this are questions I will leave to you, those quesitons essentially compose the spiritual journey, the journey of seeking truth about these things. These are things you can be told, but to really KNOW, you must learn for yourself through experience and understanding.
For those types of questions I recommend:
I am that, by Maharaj

To Jules,
I agree with andres, do not give up on books, they can be a wealth of information, I suppose it is only a matter of finding the right ones, or letting them find you. I also would like to say I have had many a similar experience in the past where I had premonitions in my dreams, and woke up to find that exactly what I foresaw had happened during the night or would happen during the course of the day. Some perspectives on the nature of time and propheseeing may be of some interest to you as well. There is a passage on the subject in Daniel Pinchbeck's 2012 the return of quetzalcoatl which I found quite interesting, however I do not recall where in the book it was.
What we are is ALIVE!
Why you are that way, as far as I am concerned, is inconsequential, you are that way and you should feel blessed to be tapped in to another level of reality so easily, many people spend years or their entire lives trying to develop skills that you seem to have been born with.
By the way I ate some ACID last weekend and I feel like I've been in a beautiful dream ever since, having a love affair with the universe if you will. Have patience Jules, you are blessed.
Sanity standards
I have astral projected and to do that you have to raise your vibrational frequency. Astral project is what will happen in 2012, if you haven't read about it or tried it, then you know. Raising your vibration can induce hallucinations, some theorize thats what abductions are. if you wake from a intense obe but your conscious mind is not aware, if your waken from that state hallucinations can occur.
Two worlds
Do you suppose two worlds will split away from each other? One which is dying and becoming extinct and another which is evolved to a higher vibrational frequency? Almost like a cell dividing.
Sometimes this notion pops into my head almost like a whisper.
Peace,
