i am thinking about the human world and im thinking that in effect taking animals in as pets is eventually detrimental and destructive to their species. Mainly because pets have several generations of offspring within the life span of a human; so it suffices to say that in the least, one human can have an impact of svere measure on, not only the offspring of several generations of one animal, but possibly several or all future generations. After just a few generations out of the wild, an animal starts to become completely dependnet on the human. this is because the offspring that were born under the human care wasnt taught the same thing as one born in the wild(nature). It stands to reason, that the animals daily actions and almost ritual care of young and each other, is not just instinct. It is the basics of survival. It is what the animals in their species in their area have collectively come up with so far for the best living conditions possible. Never will you see an animal in the wild being idle, even if they are sleeping or resting. They have purpose. It's what makes sense, and the difference between right and wrong. Living on Earth Style!
Living in a human generate dnevironment deprives animals of the natural existence within their one lif eon earth. There is the possibility of reincarnation, but if the possibility is there that you only have one life, to live breathe breed eat and live, and you were an animal, would you want to spend it with a human? or fulfilling your existence! Is it conspiracy?
is it possible that we affecte dthe world so much, and as extensions of the earth, they think the only way to get thru to us is to teach us by example? or is it possible that we hurt their ancestors so much, that the only refuge, was under the enemies wing?
so it oges to show that taking them from the wild, feeding them, giving them things, caring for them, and keeping them, and genertaions of them, is really "not loving" them, or atleast not in the best way possible. is it possible we humans have a touch of the sam esickness that we have bred into our repsctive friends the animals?
(in the same way animals dont realize they are domesticated, dont expect it to be clearly obvious to yourself either)

well, most cats I know seem to be more in control of their human masters than they are of them. Maybe we are the ones being domesticated. Besides, animals quickly revert back to their wild nature when left to themselves for a few generations.
But I don't believe in the whole neutering thing. That's just cruel, and I would never do it to another living being.

I think that with dogs and cats especially, it probably started as a partnership, like other animals partner with one another to accomplish goals or even live symbiotically, and at their best, a lot of human relationships are still like that. There's nothing wrong with that in my opinion. And without us, animals might live more natural lives but then again not nearly as many of them would exist and they would not have food and be protected.
It's a big tradeoff. The only solution would be to ask your cat or dog what they think about it. It's not up to us to decide what's best for them.
I think the energy will move
I think the energy will move away from animals as pets as we step more into our god and goddess roles..
In this dimension, I think we have memories of when animals were our companions (like Dances with Wolves) and in clinging to those memories in this somewhat 'lessor' state we have (in which we have wiped our god and goddess memories clear.. in order to gain something more in the end) we have an imperfect form of the rmembrance of what it felt like to walk with animals as companions.. and thus what once walked with us as companions now we hold as pets..
I think we will eventually move back into the place where our animal brothers and sisters again walk with us as companions...

here we are inside the dance of our creation.
Interesting responses.
I personally believe that there is no distinction between wild and tame species, but only individuals - much as in the human world. Some single animals even of the most dangerous species seem to have no problem interacting with humans as per http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTVMdzDFf4g
Experiments in animal genetics appear to show a genetic propensity in some individuals for tameness. http://blogs.scientificamerican.com/guest-blog/2010/09/06/mans-new-best-...
Each animal is a single individual and the way we treat them must ultimately be tailored with our knowledge, not only of the species but of the individual.
