Homeopathy: Overdosing on nothing

FractalBob 2 years ago AT 10.23 am on 30 January, more than 300 activists in the UK, Canada, Australia and the US will take part in a mass homeopathic "overdose". Sceptics will publicly swallow an entire bottle of homeopathic pills to demonstrate to the public that homeopathic remedies, the product of a scientifically unfounded 18th-century ritual, are simply sugar pills.

Homeopathics
Homeopathics work just fine. Those sugar crystals carry specific information, vibrations, if you will, that the body reacts to. I have witnessed specific results from different homeopathic remedies. Like snotty nosed kids(pulsatilla) or nausea(nux vomica) or allergies(ZyCam) or muscle soreness(arnica).
That's one of my complaints with the "scientific" mind set... if it doesn't match our theories, it can't be true.
Randi just backed out of his million dollar challenge with a homeopathic doctor. The doctor had set up an experiment that would keep track of homeopathics, regular medicines and control groups from a bunch of hospitals, over an extended period. Similar tests have shown homeopathics to be far more effective.
Not that the placebo effect isn't powerful. In the long run, placebos have proven more effective than "regular medicine".
As for those protestors... i'll bet if any of them took a lot of aconite, for example, they might be pretty sick.
cheers,

Codex Alimentarius
This is total nonsense!! they are protesting products that are absolutely harmeless even if they don't work...which I believe they do, and I am a Pharmacist.
I have no doubt that they are a part of this Codex organization or affiliated with the Big Pharma companies that want all competition eliminated or controlled.
Your right JIM...they should all try taking a full bottle of Vicodin or any other "safe" pharmacuetical drug and see what happends!!
Being a Pharmacist...I encourage everyone to get off the chemical garbage Big Pharma is pushing and get into Naturapathic and Holistic meds before they control it all!
Thanks

Placebos are valuable
I guess all those skeptics never read this article:

It seems to me that medicine has more to do with your relation to the plant (or source of your medicine) and the ceremony of healing than it does anything else.
Also, I fail to see how a lack of over-dosing proves anything other than the fact that modern medicine is so alien and dangerous to our body that it can destroy it if we take too much of it. You cant really overdoes on pot either. Doesn't mean pot is not helpful.
Moral of the story:
Skepticism is helpful and necessary, but skeptics can also be tragically silly people.
Interesting
That in order for them to think its a medicine it has to also be dangerous to your health.
lol!
