Dr. Suess was the man

howdy folks. Lot's o' drama lately here on Evolver/RS...

I found some quotes from the late Dr. Suess that were relevant to a conversation with a friend. I thought they were too awesome not to share here too. In honor of his birthday yesterday:

"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself, any direction you choose. "

"Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you. "

"If you never did, you should. These things are fun, and fun is good. "

"And will you succeed? Yes indeed, yes indeed! Ninety-eight and three-quarters percent guaranteed. "

"Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple. "

my favorite was always the Sneeches.

OK!

Green eggs and Ham! especially when we read the book in first grade and then MADE green eggs and ham...what a successful day that was.

I do not like them
in a house.
I do not like them
with a mouse.
I do not like them
here or there.
I do not like them
anywhere.
I do not like
green eggs and ham.
I do not like them,
Sam-I-am.

Actually, I recommend just searching Google Image for his old political cartoons. Gives you a whole new slant on Seuss =)

I think being uncanny about irony made him who he was... that was something that he had a way of translating to both adults and children.

It's crazy. We grew up on this guy, and there was a lot more to him than his kids books.

It's good to be reminded. Nice job Marcus =)

wo. those cartoons were great

Thanks Joanne, I had no idea he had this other side to him.
