It just occured to me, seeing as how Philadelphia's March Spore (Re: our Psychedelic Future) was scheduled a week prior (This Wednesday, March 24th) to when most other cities held theirs, that this could be a perfect opportunity for members of other chapters in the area - New York, Baltimore, Princeton and Beyond - to take a field trip ... no pun intended ... Join Us! ... Proposition below ...

If you've Spored before, you are likely aware of the side effects often encountered after the proverbial clock strikes midnight - Most often a persistent, glowing wonder that you want ... need ... to hold on to, followed up by hours, days ... perhaps weeks ... of heavy contemplation regarding the logistics of doing just that.

Conclusions? I have a sneaking suspicion we might be on the same page.

You've found the others, feel a haze lifting - a clarity condensing from all of those moments of eyes meeting, understanding exchanged, heart heavy, into the inevitable unspoken nod ... something ... the now-throbbing magnetism directing our shared compass of intentionality, if you will ... seems to sum it all up rather simply - astoundment, forehead slap, "Duh!", okay, okay ... ensues, and you've got it - "More!"

Clearly ... Obviously ... We truly are who we have been looking for - and, yes ... What would happen if ... I'm sorry ... rather ... when ... we get 300 - 700 - 10,000 of us into one* (increasingly large) room? Yet another confounding question - again because you feel like you already know the answer, which comes in the form of another question - "Why does this suddenly feel so easy?"

Cut to the chase? Time after time, I've seen it, felt it with my own eyes ... complex issues delved into by this group of driven, passionate, concerned people ... suddenly ... becoming a great deal less opaque. it feels like progress, and, let me tell you ... that feels fucking great.

It seems we're standing at the edge of infinite recursion, here, so ... Point made? What can I say. I know i speak for more than myself when I say that many are frothing at the mouth for the next page.

Maybe the trick has been discovered ... or maybe that's the trick - Who knows. The answer gestures wildly.

"Invitation" / fumbling admittal of my intense and ever-growing love for all of you - Delivered. If you're feeling it and find yourself in the range of Philadelphia this Wednesday, below you'll find links to both our event page here and on Facebook.

Great Idea!

And it never would have occurred to me had you not come up with it! Sometimes it's quite easy to put a road trip together one day and find yourself traveling the next. Since arriving at Evolver last August, I've often felt the urge to just meet up with other Evolver authors in person. I've read many similar expressions of intent over the months here as well.

As it happens, the day after your Philadelphia spore is booked for me this week. but the seeds of the idea have been planted. I hope they've been broadcast as well. From any spore to any other, why not gather a band of Merry Evolvers together for a visit? A little cross-pollen-nation?

And likewise, if any of you find yourselves traveling through the heartland, send me a message! I can't speak for my good friend ~high writer~, but I bet he would feel the same way too.

Also, while you have me thinking about it, May 25th - 31st. We may not have an Evolver spore here yet, but we do have a time-honored event in compatible spirit: Elf Fest! at Lothlorien Nature Sanctuary, deep in the heart of South-Central Indiana.

Especially at festival time, this can be a seriously magickal place. It's also where I've learned a great deal from first-hand experience about the potential of off-grid gathering, and the incredible sublimity of giant community bonfire circles. Festivals are usually attended by 250-350 people from all over the Midwest and beyond. I think many Evolvers would find themselves quite at home.

Can't Wait

Have to make some children-watching arrangements to make this one. This will be my preverbial "cherry-popping" event, I have never been to a gathering of "the others" yet. I am very excite!!!
