I cut out all forms of dairy products from my life and I feel awesome, not that I ever was a big milk drinker, in fact I hate the thought of a glass of cold milk. My parent's used to have to force me to drink it when I was little. I remember the ol' "You can't leave the table til you drink this glass of milk" routine getting really old really quick.I don't recall giving in without one hell of a fight, anyway I'm off topic. If I do eat milk products its in the form of in my coffee or ice cream. Recently my skin started looking shabby, for lack of a better word, and I couldn't really figure out why. When I thought about it, I knew it had to be attributed to milk (hormones in it etc...), so I cut that shit out of my diet and now I look fine again.

P.S.
Listen to Diplo Vs. Sunday Girls "Four Floors" It's great.

Good for You!

Amy!
good for you- cutting out dairy is hard- and it's weird that's it hard.
you're right that we are so conditioned into thinking dairy products are so essential to us nutritionally.
If we think about it though, we are the only mammals that continue to drink "milk" after our years as breast fed babies. Most species move on.
Our bodies only have so much of a reserve of enzymes that aid in digesting dairy, and after a certain age- that enzyme is probably used up- leaving us intolerable to dairy.

If you or anyone is still craving dairy, drink almond and/or hemp milk in substitute!!
thanks for sharing!
