wouldn't these sights need to have non-profit status? I understand that going through the channels of individual states and the federal government are a pain in the ass and almost antithetical to many ideas proposed within the forums of evolver and realitysandwich (to my great delight), but on the same hand those ideas (and the legislation that binds them) have a good way of limiting the percentage of personal profit v.s. direct action. i don't mean this post to be an assumption that the proprietors of these sites are in any way greedy or selfish, i just think that if the "labeling" of those types of status could occur these sights might quickly find themselves able to be much more relevant as a result (due to MUCH more funding). we all do what we can with what we have, and anyone who tries is a miracle-worker just for the attempt, but we all have a chance here. i think that if any of us (in the u.s., at least) are going to have a chance at changing things we need to play into the system a bit, to paraphrase R. Buckminster Fuller with liberties: let the existing system enrich your abilities to create the paradigm that will outdate it. If the new paradigm REALLY hopes to change things, using a for-profit system to do so may limit the input from capital sources as well as the trust of the needy. just some thoughts. i tried to find evidence of non-profit status for evolver and reality sandwich, and they may have it (i couldn't find out), but this is just a general thought for anyone trying to really get their movements rolling...
peace and love to you all, and thank you for all that you do and WILL do...

no, these sites are not
no, these sites are not non-profit orgs. But honestly, non-profits are usually just as crooked, if not more so than for-profit companies.
These sites are making zero money, and can barely cover their expenses (as we are reminded on an almost daily basis). So you can rest assured that nobody is making undue profit. And if you're really worried about it, just don't contribute money. But if you find that these sites offer something that you find valuable, feel free to chip in a few bucks. Vote with your dollar... as they say.
but really, why should a non-profit be any more revolutionary than a for-profit? I'm not really following you on that.
