Deprogramming New Age Religion to Find True Spirituality

In order to gain full access to all the information that's available to you, you need to use all of your brain. Recent science has shown that your brain is not just in your skull. Your brain is in the nervous system of your entire body. Your entire body is involved in the process of thinking.
Personally, I believe that every chakra is like a little brain. They all function together in synchronicity, along with the rest of the body. I believe that the solar plexus is most significant, because it's the seat of your emotions and a portal into other realms. Your solar plexus is like your second brain. It's my own personal belief that with the transition of 2012, our primary thought center will move from our brains to our solar plexus, or perhaps somewhere in-between the solar plexus and the heart. We'll get "out of our heads" and into our bodies where we belong. This is what my spirit guides are telling me, this is similar to what others have said, and this is what I feel happening in my own body. Some people might also find themselves orienting on other chakras as well. We're all a little different.
We've been taught that thinking and feeling are two separate processes, but in fact they're one in the same. Every time you repress an emotion, you're repressing a thought process, and you're cutting yourself off from the divine wisdom of the Universe which is trying to communicate with you through your inner being.
You might think that you're remaining calm and rational by repressing your emotions. However, what you're actually doing is keeping yourself in a state of confusion by only functioning with half a brain. You're not able to think logically or see things clearly because you're not using your second brain (solar plexus), which is actually the other half of your entire brain. Your thought process is interrupted and scrambled.
Many religious and spiritual teachings have heaped lots of guilt and repression on us. They repress independent thought, they repress our freedom to do what we want, they repress our sexuality, and they repress our emotions. We have been told that certain emotions are wrong and bad. The one emotion that has been most demonized is the emotion of anger. There is a very, very strong taboo against anger.
Most people who claim to have transcended their anger or to have "mostly" transcended their anger have done no such thing. They have merely repressed it. This is true even with some of the "greatest" spiritual teachers. In fact, pretty much any spiritual teacher will freely admit to you that he or she still feels anger "from time to time," because nobody ever really transcends all of their anger.
Besides, emotions are transient and therefore it's impossible to ever achieve a permanent state of having or not having any particular emotion. Emotion is not a fixed state of being and therefore it can't be transcended. Emotion is MOTION, the movement of your being as it travels through the Universe.
Our society is inundated with books, DVD's, and magazine articles which say all kinds of things that aren't true. Just because something sounds like "the right thing" according to what you've been taught all your life, that doesn't mean that it's actually correct. And just because a billion people believe it, that doesn't make it correct either.
The establishment, the mainstream media, mainstream publishing houses and magazines, they are all most motivated to promote those ideas which serve to maintain the status quo.
It should go without saying that your anger is extremely threatening to the status quo. The last thing the establishment wants you to do is get pissed off--at least not at it. What the establishment actually uses is a combination of repression and misdirection. They repress your emotions as much they can and then, whatever is still bubbling up is misdirected toward false constructs such as "terrorists."
By cutting you off from your anger and misdirecting it, the establishment prevents you from taking any action in the world which would pose any kind of a threat to it, either physical or non-physical. You can't even use your consciousness to affect change unless you have access to your emotions, because unless you have access to your emotions then you're not even conscious to begin with.
When you're cut off, you can't think clearly. You can't understand things. You can't see through the veil. Maybe you can see through it part of the way, but you can't see through it all the way. You can't quite connect all the dots. You can't quite get your head around it. You can't decode the corrupt logic of their system.
You aren't thinking at full capacity because you aren't feeling at full capacity. You're not using your second brain, your solar plexus. You aren't using your solar plexus because you've cut yourself off from your emotions. In other words, you aren't thinking because you're not feeling, and thinking and feeling are part of the same process, working hand-in-hand to create fully functioning intelligence that is able to understand systems of logic, that is able to receive the messages being given to you through your inner being, and that is able to communicate with spirit guides and other higher beings who can only interact with us when we're fully functioning.
I took an Intro to Logic class in college. Most of the rest of the class had a very hard time with it. Many students failed. However, I made a perfect score on almost every test without even studying. I would study for 10 or 15 minutes before each test, out in the hallway.
Why was logic so easy for me? It's because I feel my emotions. I allow my emotions to flow freely. I feel my anger, I feel my rage, I feel my angst and suffering, as well as high levels of joy and ecstasy. I maintain my access to information, and that's why I'm intelligent. The ability to use all of your systems is the definition of intelligence.
There's nothing wrong with you. There's nothing wrong with your thoughts. There's nothing wrong with your feelings or emotions. There is no "higher state" of being that you're meant to achieve other than what you can achieve simply through being in touch with yourself and who you already are. As Abraham-Hicks says in this video linked below, you are not here to climb a ladder higher and higher toward some thing called enlightenment. You're simply here to create, and you're already good enough just the way you are.
Remember that the mainstream New Age religion, as it's expressed in "The Secret" and the like, is the religion of the empire. It's purpose it to repress you, control you, and maintain the status quo. Right now we are living within the cult of the monetary system.
In the words of social commentator Chris Hedges:
"Positive psychology, which claims to be able to engineer happiness and provides the psychological tools for enforcing corporate conformity, is to the corporate state what eugenics was to the Nazis. Positive psychology is a quack science that throws a smoke screen over corporate domination, abuse and greed....
Those who fail to exhibit positive attitudes, no matter the external reality, are seen as maladjusted and in need of assistance. Their attitudes need correction. Once we adopt an upbeat vision of reality, positive things will happen. This belief encourages us to flee from reality when reality does not elicit positive feelings. These specialists in 'happiness' have formulated something they call the 'Law of Attraction.' It argues that we attract those things in life, whether it is money, relationships or employment, which we focus on. Suddenly, abused and battered wives or children, the unemployed, the depressed and mentally ill, the illiterate, the lonely, those grieving for lost loved ones, those crushed by poverty, the terminally ill, those fighting with addictions, those suffering from trauma, those trapped in menial and poorly paid jobs, those whose homes are in foreclosure or who are filing for bankruptcy because they cannot pay their medical bills, are to blame for their negativity. The ideology justifies the cruelty of unfettered capitalism, shifting the blame from the power elite to those they oppress. And many of us have internalized this pernicious message, which in times of difficulty leads to personal despair, passivity and disillusionment....
This ideology condemns all social critics, iconoclasts, dissidents and individualists, for failing to seek fulfillment in the collective chant of the corporate herd. It strangles creativity and moral autonomy. It is about being molded and shaped into a compliant and repressed collective. It is not, at its core, about happiness. It is about conformity, a conformity that all totalitarian and authoritarian structures seek to impose on the crowd."
I also found a wonderful resource online titled "How to Deprogram Your Own Mind." It gives a list of things you can do to help un-brainwash yourself. One of the things it says is:
"Watch out for other people trying to clip your wings, and keep you from being your whole self.
For example, one of the commonest crippling stunts that cults or churches pull on people is demanding that they not feel their feelings. 'You must only feel Eternal Bliss' or 'You must only feel Serenity and Gratitude', or 'You must not feel sexual urges. That isn't spiritual.'
Anger, especially anger at the evils of the cult and its leaders, is supposedly very bad."
Remember that we are living in the cult of the monetary system, the cult of empire! We all live within this cult, each and every one of us.

You can also watch the video by Abraham-Hicks and see why I reinterpret her message the way that I do. Also, just for fun, you can watch "Puppetji vs. The Secret." It's very funny!
No go, be free, and bravely create the world you want to see. Do not repress yourself, and do not ever, ever let somebody else shut you down.

Well said! I agree
Well said! I agree whole-'heart'edly (with the caveat that we must distinguish brain and mind. If you want to talk brain the second-densest network of neurons in your body is in the gut, but the light-body - the mind - that's a different thing entirely, like the wave and the transceiver, and that's where the solar-plexus comes in. Consciousness and gravity are the same thing I suspect and where's your center of gravity? The null point. The still center around which the whole of you moves. Where your emotions come from, or at least, where they are first experienced....)
The rEvoLution is Within
"We will get "out of our
"We will get "out of our heads" and into our bodies where we belong. This is what my spirit guides are telling me, and this is what I feel happening in my own body."
WOW this is amazing. Just what I needed, and exactly what I was looking forward to and didn't know it. Whatever separates our mind from our bodies is about to POP! Hope it doesn't hurt...

Mantalism and the brain thinker...
The mentalist movement was well received by science as it could embrace spiritual gnosis with science. Many people are still caught up believing that the essence of our expression of reality is a function of the brain. Our brain is not the communicator with our universe. The brain is only a processor, much like the computer I am typing this message on. We are in constant dialogue with the universe via our hearts. Each second millions of neuropeptides are sent from the heart via the blood to receptors in the brain. The brain reads the messages and displays our reality. Ergo the old saying " mind over matter " should read " heart over matter ".
Namaste, my sister Boadie, the heart speaks the brain processes.
That makes a lot of sense to
That makes a lot of sense to me - there is a huge taboo against anger and I've never really thought about it. Haven't watched the video yet - people watching tv around me, but I was going to ask whether you thought repressed, stored up anger is something we should let out, smash down the dam we built up in the solar plexus in order to get past it and be serene, obviously being the ideal state.. but then I reread the last paragraph and realised that it makes a lot more sense to just be, whatever that entails. I suppose that could lead to serenity.. Or is the archetypal, tranquil Buddha a simplistic, reductionist stereotype in your opinion?
Little know fact but
Little know fact but serotonin is created 90% in the stomach and not the brain. In some traditions they talk about moving your Hara line up a notch into the solar plexus. A good book is:The Second Brain. I forget the author. So its interesting you talk about this because that is also what I have been feeling.
The way i think about it is: What is the stomach used for? Digesting. So when it moves up to the solar plexus what will it do? Digest emotions!
Non-Fractal Compression creates heat=Hell
Hmm..
It makes me wonder, and that was just wonderful by the way. But what if we become a fully conscious being completely aware of our bodies. We no longer see the world through the eyes of our skull but with our whole being, we feel the waves of life in every place they may come from because we are finally aware of our own.
