IcerocketIt's that time of the year again! When all the privileged college kids move out of their dorms and throw away all kinds of amazing stuff! Everything from laundry detergent, mini fridges, food and clothes, to luxury items like expensive watches and jewelry... you'll find it in the dumpster.
So I encourage all of you, THIS WEEKEND to head down to your local university, find the dorms/residence halls, and look for the dumpster. Colleges will often haul in the giant construction sized dumpsters to deal with all the excess "waste".
Some things we found yesterday and today: a banana suit, a wedding dress, clothes, clothes, clothes, and more clothes, brand new sneakers with the tag still on them (pictured above), computers and computer components, a rifle scope, lots of cereal and popcorn and peanut butter, Hefeweizen beer (Raspberry UFO), Baileys Irish Creme, a couch, rubbermaid tubs, tupperware... we literally have a pile of stuff, and the weekend hasn't even started! These kids we ran into yesterday said they found a $100 bill!
DON'T LET THIS STUFF GO TO WASTE! Go jump in a dumpster and you may just find a real treasure!

Today I scored several military backpacks, a super sick hiking bag, a laptop (will be parted up), more laundry detergent, a poster from the 30 year anniversary tour of the Allman Brothers (signed by the artist), some vodka, Goldschlager, coconut rum, some rather nice clothes, a bunch of weird asian snack food, etc etc etc.
I feel very primal/hunter-gatherer during all this. It's like the yearly migration of caribou or something and so this is the big hunt of the year!
But also today, my housemate got busted by campus police and the fucking pig made her throw back all the stuff she got... :( but whatev.
