I love what you RS and Evolver Pod people are doing... Fully support it... And I like the general aesthetic flow around here... But, I'm just gonna have to say it... Evolver isn't gonna hit the spark until this system has a more... shall i say it: facebook appeal. Facebook has become the ultimate social networking site ever.. And if y'all wanna compete with it in terms of networking, usability, and prominence - I think a serious reworking of the evolver system will need to happen... Running a small social networking site on Drupal is fine for now, but not for the kind of active, wild, robust community hub that is facebook, and was Tribe.net....
I don't have many suggestions, just feeling though that this system has some limitations and has a significant way to go before it's on the level of a true social networking site.... Having said that, it is pretty and clean and minimalist.... which is nice. But I do think the design is kind of clunky in some ways... I would do things differently.

I totally agree with you. Originally I wrote a lengthy reply -- but it's so important to me that it gets noticed that I'm going to post it as a blog. I hope that it does some good -- even though I'm sure I'll catch some flack.

Hi Wahkeena,
We're working on making this happen. Facebook's functionality is definitely a high water mark--while we don't aspire to duplicate what they do, they do have some nice tools that makes it easy to connect and share.
Drupal isn't perfect, but it's got a lot of good things going for it. The fact that it's open source is important to us, as we want to support a community driven software.
