Your Experiences in Mexico.

Well....
I was trying to settle down in portland oregon, and I ate some mushrooms for inspiration{halloween with my roomate the time-traveling hypnotherapist who uncovers the time-machine once a year this day} Yet instead of helping me settle in the mushrooms told me to leave, showing me how the city was causeing negative mental imprints, and that I needed to go south and find the medicine people.
The next morning there was a knock on my door. Someone was here to see me....a friend from Columbia, Otin, I had only talked to breifly on Evolver found my address on this website, he knew no one else in the city so came to our house. Then he over tea he told me of his intentions to travel south to Peru to study with medicine people. I contemplated going but didnt feel comfortable going.
A few weeks after my new friend left, I was traveling to visit the guru Amma in california....We were staying with a friend in oakland CA when Otin called me to ask me where I was....when I told him the city and building he replyed "I'm right outside" I walked downstairs and he continued to show me his van that we will take to Mexico. I had six days to pack and at this point could not refuse the call.
Not knowing any spanish was hard at first....my mind rebeled...but becuase of it I immersed on energetic level and my intuition "blinked on" The first place we went was to a medicine festival in Texapexpan Nayarit where I first experiened Peyote with a strange little known mexican roadman. In this tipi I saw Quetzalcoatl and Tezcatilipoca merge into one.
The whole trip was magical...I left my sense of time and needing to plan anything behind, just floating with power guiding me, and I truelly lost my sense of fear and anxiety....there is a kind of wonderfull chaos about mexico where synchronicity is allowed great presense...and there was so much prayer and reverence for nature and the elders.
I also lived for awhile at the community of Tulan, a little community centered around the 13 moon calendar and huichol culture, where there have been annual festivals taking place to connect northern and southern shamanism. I am not going this year but please go if you are interested! http://tulan.net/land January 23rd . It was here that we lived many months without electricity, reconnecting with natural-time.

I think I will write more at length about all this at some time, and I will certainly be longing for mexico this winter! Enjoy it for me if you can :)
