In the Alchemy of Dualities series, we'll bring together people who may be coming from different perspectives, life experiences, or social worlds, to explore what emerges through working together, playing together, and sharing a group experience. We'll take two seemingly opposed ideas and connect them to discover their relationship. The goal? Integration, balance, expansion, the ability to see both sides of the coin, and to be able consider more people in the world friends.
We'll kick off this series in January with the War & Peace spore.

"Until we accept and properly use the Inner Principle of Causality, there will continue to be war and disease. Negative thoughts, feelings, and deeds are poisonous to our soul and toxic to our physical bodies." - Lifting the Veil, Practical Kabbalah with Kundalini Yoga
Those of us on working towards personal healing know from experience that the "as within, so without" principle holds true - as long as we continue to experience inner conflict, anger, aggression, a feeling of separation from others and the corresponding primal urge to fight for power or resources, those emotions will continue to be expressed and embodied externally through acts of violent speech, physical violence, and wars.
At this event we will explore the power of the subtle actions we can taking by turning our focus inward and cultivating a sense of inner peace, using the emotion we cultivate to send healing, prayer, and intention to the collective wounds and trauma being held in the hearts of the residents of a world at war.
What causes war? Fundamentally, it's an action taken to resolve different perspectives when no peaceful means of acheiving agreement is considered possible. At the War & Peace spore, we'll share "war stories" - both literally, with veterans that have been invited to the event, and figuratively, with experiences from our lives of moments of conflict that feel like war - in order to connect the common energy behind the literal violence of killing or wounding another human being and the more subtle violence of aggressive speech or self-judgement. At their root, these forms of violence all reflect a lack of ability to collaborate, to communicate, to mediate, to become neutral. We'll look at disease as war and war as a disease, and examine the notion of disease as a lack of harmony within the body. If war is a disease and disease is a lack of harmony, the solution to ending war is acheiving greater harmony. We choose to do this literally - by singing!
The first segment of our program will be an exploration of the wounds of war, and the second half of the evening will focus on healing those wounds within ourselves and our community. We'll connect and relax our bodies through a Thai Massage partner exercise and close the evening with the opportunity to participate in the first public debut of the MYWNYM ("meowniyum") healing modality. MYWNYM is a deliciously celestial blend of energy healing, harmonizing and feline frolicking perfomed by a cluster of 4-5 people ("givers") singing and meowing while simultaneously channeling healing energy through their hands towards the "receiver", who is lying in the middle.
It's not just for hippies anymore.... let's Meow like we mean it.
Love,
Ilsa Meow and Siri, Magenta, Lynae, & Crystal (the Ladies of Bay Area Evolver)
