Evolver NYC Spore: "Aliens Amongst Us"

Join us for an exploration into the mysterious and persistently controversial topic of alien and UFO phenomena including a discussion by an interstellar panel of experts, a sharing circle of personal ET experiences and interactive celebrations--this month marks one year of Spores for Evolver NYC and Evolver Regionals across the globe!

Are stories of ancient aliens, government cover-ups and aliens amongst us, merely products of folktale or fragments of a true, never-ending history that continues to unfold through our time? Daniel Pinchbeck, co-founder of Evolver and author of 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl, will lead a discussion with Bill Birnes, head of the investigative team on the History Channel's UFO Hunters and publisher of UFO Magazine; Richard Dolan, paranormal investigator from SyFy channel's Sci Fi Investigates and author of UFOs and the National Security State: Chronology of a Coverup, 1941-1973, and The Cover-Up Exposed, 1973-1991; and psychoanalytic psychotherapist Dr. Gibbs Williams, who researched abduction phenomena with Budd Hopkins and authored the recently published Demystifying Meaningful Coincidences (Synchronicities): The Evolving Self, the Personal Unconscious, and the Creative Process.

An astral adventure will immediately follow the panel as chaneller LQ shares what she's learned from her interdimensional experiences with beings from the Pleiades star cluster. Also on hand for out-of-this-world explorations will be the NY UFO Meetup Group, and the Green Bus Tour.

Trying to make it late...

This topic is by far one of my most favorite. I'd also like to help produce another event like this with a more expanded panel in the future. Alex Collier, Steven Bassett of The Disclosure Project, Project Avalon and Camelot, and many more.

I already have an event to attend that night prior to this, but I hope I'll catch the tail end of it. Especially very interested in meeting Richard Dolan.

$15?? Are you kidding me? In

$15?? Are you kidding me? In this economy? I guess all of the speakers live in NYC already, so there were no major costs in bringing them here for the talk. This smells of a money-grab. So sad because I really wanted to go :(

Arthur stop whining

I hope im not taking the bait of a troll here, but you've got to be kidding complaining about a 15 dollar fee! Pinchbeck and all are sacrificing their time to present something this community is interested in. We all receive this online content and access to these boards totally free, and sit on our lazy asses while this organization works around the clock to put together events like this, and you are going to whine about the fee and accuse them of "money-grabbing"? Please take a look at yourself Arthur.

The relative price of thoughtful entertainment in NYC

Dude, chill out. I might actually end up going just because I am deeply interested in this topic.

It's just that for $15 in NYC I have been to amazing music shows featuring a headlining band all the way from Europe (just as an example), with two more opening acts, at a proper venue (ie Webster Hall), with a high-quality sound system, beautiful visuals, and so forth. To then think of paying $15 to hear a handful of guys sitting at a table does make you pause and think of the relative price of thoughtful entertainment these days, and whether it's fully worth it or they're just inflating the true price-value of the event.

For example, I think that the $12.50 movies in this city are overpriced, I don't care how big-budget or arthouse/indie they may be. To watch a 1.5 hour projection in an air-conditioned theater for $12.50 sounds ridiculous to me. I still do it sometimes, though. Maybe $8 sounds better adjusted, at least in this economy.

If I were a rich yuppie, believe me, I wouldn't mind paying any amount for something truly unique like this. But things are hard right now, at least for me, and it just frustrates me that every Meetup group I want to join asks for a $50 fee for some Shamanic Knowledge Training-whatever when I just want to meet and talk to like-minded people, this event asks for $15 when, again, I just want to hear, meet, and talk to like-minded people, and so forth. Am I too poor then to join the "consciousness crowd"? Is this another rich yuppie club? When did this become yoga?!?! (joking about yoga, but kind of true, isn't it?)

Anyway, I may go and just blow the $15 on this. See you there :)

-So we should all start

-So we should all start pricing things based on your idea of whats valuable? Kidding, but that is what you're implying Art.
-Don't be self-righteous and call out faceless "rich yuppies". There are people far more conscious than you or I and with far less money to worry where to spend.
-If you go, have fun. I won't be there, I'm on vacation. Let's meet another time.

NYC Spore prices are always "suggested"

Hey Folks,

Thanks for the lively exchange. We believe $15 is a fair price given the level of speakers who will be there.

That this is a suggested donation was not clear in the listing--I've made that change. No one will be turned away if they can't pay the full amount!!

I hope to see you all there!

Peace,

jp

Awesome! I can do $10. See
