Anxiety and Inheritance vs Peace and Plants

I was born into a wealthy family and I am thankful to where it has gotten me as far as perspective goes, but realize that money is like toilet paper (useful to have around when guests are visiting). Seriously though, I never felt any sense of security when I was living off of inherited wealth. I always felt like a baby who was entirely at the whims of the world.

Medical Marijuana as a Force for Individual Responsibility

As the country continues to battle the Great Repression in hopes of reinvigorating the economy, the most enlightening recovery efforts could come in very unexpected forms. The global edifice of cheap food rests on the volatility of a single input; the exponentially depleting supply of easy, cheap oil.

"Food, Inc." A hearty recommendation!

Last Friday night, I was slightly disappointed that we did not have a local Evolver Spore established yet to discuss Thursday's mighty topic, "Thought for Food." It seemed like such an accessible, foundational topic to host a discussion around, especially in the food-centric town I live in.

Nothing Else Matters

Oil. It causes wars, dictatorships, pollution, sickness, cancer, and it will be the greatest national security threat America has ever faced. I am not even speaking of global warming, but something easier to understand and imminently dangerous.

The Fallacy of Nature

The tale told of mankind’s destruction of Earth often coincides with the ascent of the Industrial World. From this Luddite standpoint it seems all that must be done is destroy all technology and Nature will be saved.
