As some of you know I've begun working with a small group (including a reiki master and a hypnotherapist) to do a seven month kundalini awakening program.
I have gotten some lovely comments and the youtube videos I posted have shown healthy interest. This blog post will be a bit rambling so apologies. i just wanted to share my latest musings and confess my sins.... ;-)
A little boy grabbed hold of his cats tail while playing in the yard. The cat immediately began resisting, trying to pull away and making an awful noise. The boy's mom looked to see what was happening and when she saw it said to her son, "Johnny, let go of the cat...you're hurting it." Johnny replied, " But Mom, I'm just holding the cats tail.
When I began meditating a number of years ago, I did so because I was locked into living in my house with a witch of a woman, who could control my emotions, and make me angry and upset with her oft times incessant nonsensical bitching and badgering. She could make me want to knock her out.
For about seven weeks now I have been waking up every morning to my own complaints about life as I frustratedly, furiously, annoyingly, and sometimes passionately, write three daily pages in hopes to “get to” my genius. The one that’s supposedly buried under layers of all the bullshit I tend to think. At least that’s what I have come to find out about myself in these past weeks.
In my favourite book and companion since 10 years, The journey into consciousness by Charles Breaux, one very interesting thing is said about opening one's heart chakra. It says that contrary to what one might think, opening one's heart chakra can lead to angry or even hateful reactions from one's surroundings, instead of more love or compassion from others.
It was the fourth time that I was embarking on an ayuahuasca journey. It was at a beautiful location in the middle of Europe, in a large tipi close to a small lake in the middle of a forest. I was with my shaman friend Don A. - an excellent plant alchemist who received his training in the deep jungles of Peru, as well as in Mexico.
When I get upset I make up something humorous to help process what I'm feeling, or to make sense of what I believe is happening. I also do it to vent frustrations and to connect with people in relation to difficult issues. Blah blah blah. I got pissed- I made a game. Hope you get a laugh.
In order to gain full access to all the information that's available to you, you need to use all of your brain. Recent science has shown that your brain is not just in your skull. Your brain is in the nervous system of your entire body. Your entire body is involved in the process of thinking.
In my Political and Social Philosophy class this semester we read Leviathan by Thomas Hobbes. I was very intrigued when I came across Thomas Hobbes' simple definition of anger. Anger = Sudden Courage. I resonated with this when I read it and it remained on the back burner of my mind since.
I wrote this rap because I needed to channel my anger in a healthy way...i'm going to record my vocals as soon as i get rid of this cold :)
