Some posts on Myspace recently have inspired me to write for example, someone wrote about Atheism and how we are all basically atheists in one way or another, for example, the days of the week were named after Greek gods, but do we follow the traditions of all of them? Most likely not. But we all have some kind of beliefs and faith, no matter what we may call ourselves.
Before I moved out of Michigan, I tried to connect with other Evolvers in my area. I contacted Alan Scheurman, who leads the Evolver Detroit spore. He had listed EcoZoic Detroit as the spore's website. The About page at that site is brief:

and in the ensuing discovery of only uncertainty the wholeness is revealed, for the moment one grasps at any belief it eludes as just another passing thought. and perhaps this is the basis for the constant struggle to seek some way of being in this world with its intention of defining outside of that which just happens to unfold in all of its intricate patterns.
I was talking to my mother today about life and relationships. She told me that she didn't understand why I wouldn't date a Christian. I explained to her that it wasn't because I didn't respect their beliefs, because I think everyone is different and has the right to believe whatever they want.
Beliefs and values are the stuff of tribal legend, as they are the glue that bind these systems together. We are conditioned by our early tribes/families in everything from behavior to ideologies, and then we grow up.
