I worked for an amazing visionary artist in Costa Rica named Jan Betts. Her work is extraordinare and her energy is medicine to whom she is around. Her art work changed my view on the spirit of nature and while I was working with her I learned many things.

The cacao tree is indigenous to Central and South America, where ancient cultures such as the Aztecs, Mayans, Olmec, and Toltec Indians worshiped this incredible seed, utilizing it often as a form of monetary exchange. Sacred is a word I would use to describe the experience with cacao in its most simple state.
I just want to make some brief notes about some of the main points that were made during the interview last night, and throw in a few things that seem relevant to the discussion.
