Some musings on sex, multiple partners and open relationships.

Relationships are so squirmy aren’t they? Then add sex on top of it and everything just slip slides away into weirdo land. Why is that? Is it because we rush into things? Leap before we look far enough into the future to see the potential disaster up ahead? Probably.

How Luxury Changes People

"Are people who travel in town cars and on corporate jets different—on a psychological level—from you and me? Does the availability of luxury goods "prime" individuals to be less concerned about or considerate toward others? The answer from new research seems to be yes."

illusion of polarities

I am you,

a stone, a feather

stardust, a flower

the earth, the universe,

birth, death,

first breath

skin of a new born baby,

worn body of an old lady,

snow, sunlight,

love, hate,

joy, pain

oneness within the heart of humanity,

tears of profanity,

blessings of human grace,

lighting up a child's face,

evil and good in one place

purity, toxicity

The Beauty of People Like You & Me

The world is full of ordinary, wonderful people.

Ever since I learned about Randy Stang in Regina Brett’s Plain Dealer column (www.cleveland.com/brett/blog/index.ssf/2010/02/bay_village_mans_last_wor...) his example of casual grace has helped me see greatness in a new way. Those who bring out the best in themselves have a way of doing that.

Love Poem to the Goddess

So many faces of you
Soft, gentle
Fierce
Compassionate

So many aspects
In need of healing

I promise never to turn away
To stand strong
To sit in stillness

Show me who you are
I vow never to run
In fear
In disgust, or shame

You have given me so much
I couldn't possibly repay You

Instead, I promise to become you
Your magnificence and radiance
Your quiet beauty

A Way

Leave the void, to create a way away.
Be yourself. Dislocate time.

Are right and wrong, just hanging there, light and dark. And is the truth like the sun being just beyond the horizon? Or is there another way to get there, something that connects us, a vehicle to reveal our interconnectedness? Let us begin.

9-11 Reflections, 2012 and the Integration of our Shadow Self

Eight years ago today I was a freshmen in College. Eight years ago I walked into my friends dorm room to watch the second plane hit the towers. Four and a half hours away from my home in Staten Island I watched with the same horror that every New Yorker was experiencing. In those moments I had no idea what was awaiting me and my family.

Allow. . . allow. . . allow

So what do I do? Stay present - be present - exist. Live. Allow. Allow. Allow. It’s OK, I must reassure myself. I must be gentle and compassionate with myself. Allow myself to blossom. Allow that intellect that does exist within me if I just allow it.

Ancient Ache

It comes up repeatedly... the whole issue surfaces over and over. Ancient and worn, it is carried in the cells of my marrow... deep in the bones. It begs the same question over and over... plaguing me with pains, physical and otherwise. Not tremendous physical pain, just gnawing aches born of carrying something for so long.
