For years now I have been slowly chipping away at my Ego, reducing any and all power that it has over me so that I may live as I want to and not by the rules established by it and the world that it created.
What does it mean to AWAKEN and remember WHO WE ARE? I’ve been going through this process for YEARS and every day brings deeper and more profound understanding of what this means. Simply stated, Awakening is the process by which we recognize our Conditioned Personality Self (the EGO SELF) as a GRAND ILLUSION and remember the “I AM” presence as the TRUTH of who we are.

After doing the meditation I described in an earlier post I had a dream which told me, repeatedly, that I must seek out Steve Pavlina as my fire bending master.
Life is an incredibly balanced ballet of ego and spirit. Our spirit is the substance of complete unity with all of life that is, and our ego is the instrument for separateness and division. What an extravagant tension is created within us here on Earth school; this need to be one with all and this drive to perforate our existence from the others.
We all strive to comprehend fundamental aspects of our Being; origin, purpose, possibilities ... and yet, at times, our so-called search can be the very thing that keeps us from true understanding. "So-called," I say, because often times we continue to look in the same places over and over, thinking in the same old ways. How can something so mechanical, so habitual, be called a search?
In our normal lives we live in a state of ego illusion. We take our concept of ourselves and perceive everything through this particular lens. We conceive ourselves as a limited physical body, separate from everything else "out there." Mushrooms change all that.
Shed your ego. Remove your biases, your patriotism, your nationality, your ideas of society. Remove the blinders of cultural separation; as Terrance Mckenna said, shed your cultural overcoat and become truly naked. The only way to start understanding your true spiritual nature is to remove all ideals, values, and thoughts that effect the way you perceive reality.
New Age spirituality and Metaphysics are both wonderfully rich and helpful, yet many in the community at large are missing a fundamental element at the point of development they have evolved into thus far.
A level, what level?
I stand on the edge of depth, searching for a wave a to follow. Searching for an illumination,
that will cast into shadow, doubt, fear, lonliness- a light that resides within all of us. A light
that is cupped by "it"
The "it" that grasps selfishness, conceit, material. The "it" that has become so engrained
As our American brethren enjoy this festive holiday a time arrives for all to offer appreciation for each perfect moment of now. Families united, gather around the dinner table celebrating in thanks for the gift of life and love. No better time to reflect with love on the many gifts offered by family, community, Gaia and cosmos.
One day I was discussing peak oil to some folks and the notion of Peak Ego and an Ego Descent Plan suddenly emerged into my consciousness. I thought it funny. And when I mentioned it lightly to people at another gathering it brought forth a hefty amount of laughter. So, I decided to think more seriously about it and explore it.
Hi everyone. These are some big days, aren't they? I don't know anyone who's getting away unscathed in the deep stir that's happening within the depths of our collective sub/un-conscious-ness. I suppose I don't know everyone though. But I'm connected. That's got to count for something.
Don Juan referred to the ego in the context of " fliers ". Beings separate from us who feed off our energy. Colin Wilson referenced the ego as " Parasites ". Alien invaders of the human spirit. Is mankind afflicted by external beings, cancerous guides hell bent on manifesting our destruction?
First of all, I want to extend warm thanks to everyone who commented on my last blog. Every word was helpful and I will do a follow-up to it, but as the title of this blog would suggest, something occurred to me that I believe I MUST share with all of you.
Perhaps this is a common sense for anyone who has gone into the thing we like to call the ego. We give ourselves names and titles and that is suppose to be what we are. After a short bit of searching it is easy to see that we are truly none of these things that we so often choose to use when building the structure of our identity.
What is free will? Some say it defines a human being. Others claim it is an illusion. The more I think about it, the more I realise that everything depends on the definition of a human being. In other words, we must first know what we mean by "I".
