Eight years ago today I was a freshmen in College. Eight years ago I walked into my friends dorm room to watch the second plane hit the towers. Four and a half hours away from my home in Staten Island I watched with the same horror that every New Yorker was experiencing. In those moments I had no idea what was awaiting me and my family.
