Sharing Life

Recently I decided to share my life with a dog, (finally!) When I look at him I realise that we humans do not have a monopoly on consciousness. Animals live completely in the moment, just experiencing. Their consciousness is perfect. Rather than treating them as subservient slaves, we should be learning from the living things around us.

Nature Of Things

The seed planted, grows, flowers, withers and dies; its joy of beauty brought to the living eye, needless to its purpose or reason to decry, for it is the nature of Being, that it is most alive.

The Divine Answer

A whimsical little `devilish' idea popped into my head:

On the last day of Creation, God gathered every living species of earth-born creature save for one of them: Human.

God, looking proudly outward, the murmuring echoes of all assembled slowly hushed to complete silence.

What would the fiercest ayahuasca vision, or other psychedelic plant vision teach you about -- the nature of reality here in earth, the interconnectedness of living & life-supporting systems, other species...?

Why whales lie dead in groups on the seashore of New Zealand and Australia?

In this blog the voices of Mother Nature, animals and plants are presented. Through deep meditation we were able to converse with them and this is what they had to say about human beings.

Dear whales,
why did you die?

See the World Through the Eyes of 7 Different Animals

I thought this was a pretty cool article. I've spent a lot of time in nature contemplating what the world looks like through the eyes of various critters I encounter. Gives a pretty good idea at least. Interested how similar the birds reported vision correlates with some ayahuasca and dmt visions.

Life is precious.

I'd like to say I believe all life is very precious, I was very sad when the BP oil leak happened in the gulf of mexico. I knew that the ecosystem would be destroyed. I thought that the people who were responsible should have action taken against them. When companies act in a way that destroys life on the planet I think it is heart breaking.

Possible DMT Release Observed at End of Life (Part 2)

In September 2009 I submitted a topic here in the group Cottonwood Research Foundation entitled "Endogenous DMT Release in Near-NDEs?". In it, I described our elderly cat Chloe, who last year seemed to be experiencing possible “mini-trips” that I suspected may have been occurring during near-NDEs.

What hat?

I saw a picture of this zombie ant with a little tiny mushroom hat. Only it wasn't really a hat. It was a mushroom growing out of the brain of this poor unsuspecting ant whose very existance was being remote controlled by a fungus attached to its brain. This picture disturbed me for a number of reasons. It was an exquistely lit and incredibly sharp photomicrograph with bright colors.

Seeing What I Can See

Nearly every day, I like to walk around my backyard, slowly, taking one careful step after another, highly aware of where my foot will land and the degree of vibrations, knowing that the slightest molecule out of place will alert any insect basking on a leaf to my presence, and they will flit away.

So, today i'm tinkering around with an old cycle and here comes Willie down his normal path but I notice he's a bit early today. Willie has his own timeclock ya see. I was deep into what I was doing replacing grommets on pushrod tubes so I mumbled Hi Willie. He just stood there lookin at me with one eye as if he had something really important to say.

Animals as Vehicles and Teachers in the Dream World

The story and life of my beloved dog, Krishna, has become another chapter in my ever growing spiritual evolution. It has taught me a new way of viewing the death of our physical bodies and has given me a new theory to the Dream World.

Parasitic totem or inability to meld?

In attempting to write this, my first blog entry, I wanted to make a concerted effort to spark a dialogue and ask questions in lieu of my --- and most writers' -- default to a self-involved and somewhat finite monologue.

Quick While Still

Sitting mediation this morning, my mind bounced around like a Rabbid in a Wii-mote in the hands of an over zealous 25 year old with a penchant for gross/evil cute things.

Science, Consciousness and DOLPHINS :) A liberating time!

I have come across this article on Dolphins as sentient beings whom are said to deserve protective rights. And this movement is being led by scientists. I love it! Please check out the link:
