My Philosophy

As to the philosophical question of the existence of God; I am agnostic. I just don't know. Honestly, I feel that's the only truly scientific stance to take on the subject. Any other stance one takes, lacks proof. So that they are merely expressing an emotionally-charged, faith-based opinion.

Lazy minded atheists take note..

I am fed up with atheists painting those with belief as stupid. They set up straw men opponents and burn them down with smug intellectual satisfaction. It is the atheists that lack imagination and insight because a God arises from the premises of their underlying philosophy. Scientific materialism is incompatible with atheism.

The Agnostic Commandments

It seems some people fall into the trap of religion when they are looking for something more meaningful in their lives, for example:

* They need moral guidelines and help on how to think ethically.
* They need emotional support and community spirit.
* They need spirituality, and religion offers it in a nice tidy package.

Atheism, a Belief?

Some posts on Myspace recently have inspired me to write for example, someone wrote about Atheism and how we are all basically atheists in one way or another, for example, the days of the week were named after Greek gods, but do we follow the traditions of all of them? Most likely not. But we all have some kind of beliefs and faith, no matter what we may call ourselves.
