I offer this blog to counterbalance my other: a rather heavy pronouncement about the reality-illusion that we are in. And I offer it because it is precisely at times like this that it is most important to celebrate. The energy of celebration sustains and nourishes us through the awakening process and is a reflection and an extension of our divinity.

I wanted to celebrate and honor the spirit, bravery, and determination of the people of Egypt to peacefully change. For freedom. For dignity. For a people's right to self determination. For peace to triumph over all efforts to subvert it and drag it down into the mud. For the heart and soul of a people who have inspired us all.

on chariots of the Moon --
brightly risqué
stars burn in celebration

We have given diligent care
and service, enchanted the
wealth of the surf and sun,

I’ve been reading for a while now about Evolver Social Movement; the future of Evolver; etc. And I think Daniel Pinchbeck is a brilliant man, and I’m personally grateful to him for many things. The “principles and goals” he outlines go far in articulating a vision most of us (including me) can sign on to. But isn’t he – and aren’t we – forgetting something?

When the negative cycles of fear, anger, judgement or presumption, revenge, or even expectation are finally realised within our minds, this world will see peace. Have you learned to be rational and forgive ? To look at our situation clearly, from this moment, and to act according to our present circumstance? Some are caught in a battle with their minds, with nature itself.

Twinkling snowflakes in cold dark night
Wishing, dreaming, taking fancy's flight
What are the dreams your snowflakes bring?
What are the songs your carolers sing?
Where is that land -- secret in your mind --
where the seas are strong, the winds are kind
and everything turns up right in the end?
Where is that place, and who is the friend

Peak Ego and the Ego Descent Plan

One day I was discussing peak oil to some folks and the notion of Peak Ego and an Ego Descent Plan suddenly emerged into my consciousness. I thought it funny. And when I mentioned it lightly to people at another gathering it brought forth a hefty amount of laughter. So, I decided to think more seriously about it and explore it.



Sometimes it takes a grim reminder from Death before a person can get back to valuing life. That bony, black-robed hand hits you like a seismic wake-up call. In a chilling voice, he warns, "Stop treating life like it’s a business. This stubborn world isn’t a stock option, and if you think it is, then your returns are going to be disappointingly low."
