I have been thinking about the words community, communal, communism, without the baggage of history. I may be stating the obvious here, but what's happened in the past 20 years is that capitalism has taken over the world. We have been brainwashed by the corporatocracy to believe that 'life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness' can only be achieved by individual gain.

I recently became involved with a new organization centered around personal change and empowerment, and I thought it might be a good fit for discussion here on evolver and was curious what you all thought about the video, and the program.

I want to see what people think is important to them, to their lives, using a question... what would it take to get you to quit what you are doing and to immerse yourself in the culture of people who are like you? Sub cultures exist everywhere, and most create what you could call a sub industry which represents their interests ...along with growing, altering, and recreating their sub culture at the same time. To generalize this: Musicians have music and performances; farmers have the fruits of their labor to sell; artists and craftsmen have their creations and their displays along with a possible side job; metaphysicians have workshops and whatever they produce to sustain ...along with a side job; and so on, and so forth.

Wondering what it would take for you to leave your day job, if you even have one, and set sail on your own adventure. Honestly we have awesome soundtracks, good organic foodstuffs, and a plethora of information freely available, things that have never existed before in history! ...and all at our disposal. And it's there to help us venture out into the lives we began ...if we dare to go.
